Backflow Pro was built on a simple but powerful idea: homeowners deserve reliable professionals who treat their water systems, and their homes, with the same care they would their own. After spending 20 years working as a plumber, gaining hands-on experience across residential and commercial systems, the decision was made to focus on one of the most critical yet overlooked areas of plumbing, backflow prevention and water safety. With that foundation, Backflow Pro was launched as an independent company more than three years ago, bringing specialized expertise directly to local homeowners.
Being based in New Boston, New Hampshire, the company was created with local families and property owners in mind. In New England, water systems face unique challenges from freezing temperatures to strict municipal compliance requirements. Backflow Pro was designed to help homeowners navigate those challenges with confidence. What started as a small operation quickly grew through referrals, repeat customers, and word-of-mouth from satisfied clients who appreciated straightforward service and honest communication.
Today, Backflow Pro proudly serves homeowners and property managers throughout Goffstown, Bedford, Weare, Francestown, Merrimack, Manchester, Mont Vernon, Amherst, Lyndeborough, and across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Meet the Owner — Brendan Roy
Brendan is the owner and founder of Backflow Pro, and the person many customers meet when they call for service. His career is built on discipline, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility. Values that began during his 4 years serving as a veteran of the United States Coast Guard, and 9 years as a US border patrol agent. After completing his military service, Brendan transitioned into the plumbing industry and became a licensed plumber in 2006, steadily building experience across residential and commercial systems throughout New England. Over time, his dedication to the trade led him to earn Master Plumber licenses in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, along with becoming a certified backflow tester in 2017. This depth of training allows him to confidently handle complex compliance work while delivering dependable service homeowners can trust.
Beyond his professional credentials, Brendan is a devoted husband and father to his wife and three children, and family plays a major role in how he approaches his work and his life. In 2018, after losing his father to cancer, Brendan felt a strong desire to give back in a meaningful way. That experience led him to support the organization Children With Hair Loss by donating his hair, an act he has now done three separate times. The organization creates wigs for children experiencing medical hair loss and provides them free of charge through their early adult years, helping restore confidence during incredibly difficult times.
That same sense of service carries into Brendan’s daily work with customers. He believes that being invited into someone’s home is a responsibility that should never be taken lightly. Whether performing a backflow test, handling repairs, or guiding homeowners through compliance requirements, Brendan focuses on clear communication, respectful service, and doing the job right the first time.
